The Blind Side

I have heard of this movie " The Blind Side" Staring Sandra Bullock, and it was based on a true story about this man name Micheal Oher. You can read his life history and what happened when he met this man name "Tony Henderson" who helped enroll Micheal into Briarcrest Christian School..then Micheal being a homeless was adopted by the Tuohy Family, a christian family.

What captured my attention in this movie, unlike any other American Football true story movies is this - Tuohy a white family would willingly take a black boy into their family, wasn't only he of a diff race, he was from the ghetto of Hurt. Yet the Tuohy family had compassion on him, and soon came to love him as their very own.

Now while i was watching this movie, i realise the Tuohy family were really showing Christ like love and grace, acceptance and compassion. Forgiveness and second chances..and i question myself "am i able to do the same thing, if i had the means to do it to someone who is of the same race, let alone a different one?"

People, you all should watch this movie..

Of dreams, syndromes, and food

I was taking an afternoon nap this afternoon (DUH!!), so...i was asleep and i had a dream! Praise God for dreams, it can be very interesting sometimes..then again it can be down right WEIRD sometimes. I've no idea what this dream means, but it was one that got me thinking a lot..

This was how the dream went..

I was at home in S'wan, going about my own stuff. Then i had a pleasant surprise visit from all the JS10 peeps, they came in car loads. (what a joy!- even though it was only a dream) It was late evening at that point, and i went and bath to get ready for dinner with them. As i came out of the bathroom all dressed up - singing the song Mengejar HadirMu, i heard voice like a choir in unison singing the exact same song, exact same words as i was - Memandang wajah Mu, mengikuti kebaikan Mu, mengejar hadirMu dalam Hidup ku...- AND THEN!!!!!!!!!!! as i got into the car, i saw in my dream a very familiar face..one of my senior from High School!! WTH!!

Anyways, at that point i woke up. Realised how much i actually miss them - to the point i refused to get my butt up. But it also got me thinking...How are they doing? Are they walking close to God inspite of the many challenges and temptations around? I am all too familiar with what happens after JS..

Pause* Phone called from 0301?!...At first i thought it was some unknown person who was trying to disturb me..i answered the phone anyways..To my surprise i got a call from Pearly who's in Australia...woohoo..surprise indeed.

Continue*..deng there must be some ways to surpress this Post JS syndrome!!

Moving On..
So i prepared dinner tonite, it was my dad's idea and he wanted me to make something with pork. Went with him to the market to get a strip of pork loin in the morning. I cured it in salt+sugar with water and herbs. After 4 hours, took it out and dry it then rub on my own mixture of dry herbs and spices *loved it*

Roasted it with Bacon rappings, and i also made flavoured rice (super easy), and also mix mushroom ragout..awesomeness..anyways here's the Photo..all in all it was a good meal..Praise God..

Jeremiah School 2010

Hi from Port Dickson Methodist Centre, Jeremiah School 2010...Time flies so so so so fastttttttttttttttttttttt...I have really enjoyed my time here with these 23 students, particularly some of the guys, whom i have really build a close and comfortable brotherhood with. I do hope i was able to influence and impact their lives thus far.

I will be back in Sitiawan for Chinese new Year, and then on the 20th of Feb i will be heading to Teluk Intan for the remainder of Jeremiah School.

I do not have much time to blog long here but i do wanna post this one thing up..or 2

I think the most beautiful and memorable thing that happened to me in 2009 wasn't the France trip or me graduating from Degree; rather it was one person that became a part of my life - Victoria-
How i got together with her is a rather interesting story to tell (i won't elaborate here), i do believe that it was really God that arranged and planned this from the very beginning, from how i met her to how we actually started to converse to us being together.

Dear, thank you for all the joy and excitement you brought into my life in 2009. I am really and truly thankful to God for you. I appreciate your understanding, concerns, cares, and love for me; you have become a huge part of my life. The support and encouragement you gave me when i was struggling through my studies and my duties has really open my eyes to see the mercies and grace of God.

Ah, 2009 is flying off soon. How Fast!! 2010 here I come!

But this is the time to reflect and look back on God's goodness and faithfulness throughout 2009 for me.

To begin with, I thank God for His grace and mercy, love and patience with me throughout the whole year, it is truly amazing to see how God has brought me through this year, showing His faithfulness towards me in spite my lack of faith and faithfulness towards Him; in the words of Dr Herbert "I am glad that our God is constant, and never changing.."

The start of 2009 was rather stressful and uncertain for me both in Trac MYF as well as my life, the uncertainty of how well i will be able to perform in the youth ministry and my final year of degree. But God was truly amazing and merciful, giving me the grace and strength (undeservingly) that i may be able to perform to my best. As a result i was able to juggle between my studies and the youth ministry (that i love so much).

I am really grateful for the team I have in TRAC MYF!! You guys are really a gift from God. I count it a blessing and honour to have known you all!

Chris: Thanks for all the fun and crazy ideas, the liveliness you bring into our undertakings. I do pray and hope that God will bring you to higher heights.

Ruth: We have been friends for so many years, i believe that you among all of my friends from the valley knows me best! Thank you for your leadership and support, you brought a great sense of maturity.

Sam: Ah miss Secretary (kick-ass), I am grateful to have you in this team. Having that organize and systematic skills in this chaotic committee. God knew we needed this; keep up your good work. Congrats on your promotion.

Fungster: Thank you for your enthusiasm and passion!! Your optimism gave a great boost to this committee.

Not forgetting...

Lawrence: Ah, you are one guy i really look up to. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to the youth work!

Every time i think and look back at this team, it always leaves a smile on my face and i can't help but praise God for what He has given. You guys have been awesome, for the past 4 years this team has seen many changes -people leaving and joining- God is Good..

Phoebe: You founded this team (thank you), my heart always rejoices every time i see you joining us for practices, you voice is just *priceless*. Keep using your voice to minister and bring glory to God

Aaron a.k.a Taliban: Bro, you have been a blessing and a big part of this band and my life. I have learned alot from you about life, love, and spiritual things. Thanks for the many advices, plus you brought some kick-ass guitar skills - I believe God brought you in even tho not fully methodist to a part of us..no coincidence!

Hans: Roxxor!! Bro, I am so glad that i got to know you 4 years ago, that "so so electric guitarist" Hahaha, i think you brought not only your wicked skills, but passion and leadership into this team. You have been a great friend as well.

Abishua: The ever emo bassist, I've always enjoyed jamming with you..stand beside you and i will have all the chics coming as well..-tumpang glamour- haha, I believe you have grown in maturity and spiritually as well. Thanks for your time and willingness in this band.

Lydia: You are a great great addition to the team, now the core keyboardist to the team. Thank you for your service and heart, tho we might not hear your keyboard when we "whack" but we know that without it, the music will sound empty. Thanks for your leadership and all those travelling.

Chris Sam: Ah, the hyper kid hahaha. You brought hyperness into this team, i love your drummer skills, and i KNOW God has helped you mature through these years and a person, a player, and a leader. Keep it up.

Radiance: You cost a bomb, but deals additional 60 Area Damange!! Hahaha.. I am always encourage when i hear you share what God has shown and reveal to you, your prayers and passion in worship and for the youth ministry. Thanks

Len: You are the eldest in this team, yet i've never viewed you as older but as the same as us (in a good way- respect). I've always appreciated your advices when it comes to music, and you servantheart.

Fungster: Welcome into the family, you are the newest addition. You're sax was an awesome addition into the team, really i never thought that it would sound so whole and surround. Looking forward to many more such times.

Timothy: Needless to say, you are the man!! without you, we will be....soft hahaha, thank you for your faithfulness to this team, and yes we consider a part of the family. I do hope that for now onwards, we can have you during our worship practices!

Guys and Gals, 5 years ago i wouldn't have dream or even thought that i would be back serving in leading worship, let alone with a core band. But i really really thank God for what happened 4 years ago in YouthQuake 2006!! Lets continue our service in Him and strive to make this team great for His glory.

Really..I have no idea what to post about nowadays.. It seems like i do not tell my life's story that often or the thoughts that runs through my brain.

Then again if i were to post something, it would be about Victoria...

Oh i know, I've been working out my internship at this restaurant call CintaRia - no its not a malay restaurant, its a western cum local restaurant that serves both simplified western and local cuisine, it is relatively new in the food industry; however the owners (family) have been in this business ages ago.

Well what's interesting of my internship in this Restauarant is that almost every weekend i have to produce 2 new recipes for sales. So far i have created a 4 course set meal (not as good as i hoped it would be) and the other was Prawns Pesto Oglio pasta, mushroom spaghetti and french onion soup. My next task would be to create an oxtail soup (local style) and also some desserts.

On another note..i do miss my dear a lot; also i miss home a lot, i wish to go back home, working life is not all that exciting..and my time table is really restricted *sigh*...

I never thought we would cross path in my 4 years of studies here in KL, i never thought that i would one day be with someone who is a chindian; and loving every single beat of it.

Victoria, i can't thank you enough for all that you have brought to me. You have in this one year's time brought me so much joy and happiness, worries and anxieties, laughter (no tears yet) - but it might just come this Sunday-. 23rd of June is a very special day for the both of us, it was the day we became a couple. I have no regrets knowing you, neither do i have any regrets choosing you.

Even though it has only been a year since we (really) met, but it does seem like we have known each other for a long time. In this one year plus, i dare to say we have been through a great deal of trials, patients, tolerance - learning to accept each other the way we are, learning to understand each other and to love one another.

If i may say, you have already made me a better man. I praise God for such a person as you, His beautiful creation. You have given me a boost in my self-esteem, given me confidence and encouragement when i am down.

Just as i thought that i would finally be closer to you now; God decides to bring you further from me. He has His own plans for you that will be greater, you must trust Him. This will be a test for the both of us, and if we continue to keep our eyes on Jesus, at the same time be transparent and honest, loving each other - i believe and know that we can pull through any obstacle, trials, and hardship.

Remember, nowhere is too far for me to find you, not distance can stop me from going that distance for you. Once i have given my heart to you, it is yours to keep and i will never ask it from you. I can't find a word that can express my love for you, except for these 3 words (I love you). I will miss you, and i will be waiting for the day i see you again.

It's 1.30 am on a Wednesday morning, the taste of freedom is near (i think), it will be my final 2 papers for my degree in Hotel management. How fast fast fast time flies....

I bet all my friends are still banging their heads and scratching their tables as they read through some 500 power-point slides as we all prepare for our final 2 papers - Food Sociology and Organizational Behaviour- KILLERS.

I have to say tho, power-point slide is a brilliant invention, because it is useful especially on last-minute revisions. Having said that, if you have no clue of the short-pointers in those slides then it is a dead and useless tool.

Thursday's an off day, meeting up with Ms Leow and then Friday is the final of all final moment, my oral defense for my dissertation (thesis)....its coming that freedom...fingers cross, hope that every thing will turn outt Good...

We all know this verse fairly well (its popular), many youth workers and Pastors alike use this particular verse to encourage and "lift" us youth up. So it seems! But i reckon there is somehow an error and to a certain extend a misguiding use of scriptures by many.

Here let me explain a little....

1Tim 4:12 says "Let no one despise your YOUTH, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity." So, the question is "What's wrong with using this verse to boost, encourage, lift young (age) Christians up?" well, first we need to look at the context and situation that the youth is in. When we use scriptures like this, we must always ask

1. "What is the purpose of me using this scripture?"
2. "What is the full context of that particular scripture?"

If we take a look at the previous verses from Verse 11 says "These things command and teach"
So what are "These things" that Paul was referring to? Lets look at the verses before that :

Chapter 4, Paul instructed Timothy to teach sound doctrine, but verse 12 also has a general command that is to be an example in all out life's conduct, speech, thought and faith.

As a matter of a fact, these scripture calls us to be godly and how we should and must conduct ourselves. Isn't this how we should live as Christians? Since it is accounted to us for righteousness when we believed in He who raised Jesus up from the dead, who died for our offenses and for our justification (Romans 4:24-25)

I really don't get it!!! What is this political circus going on in My country, Malaysia?
My beloved state of Perak has gone into a political frenzy , all in the name of POWER HUNGER!!
I was just reading the MalaysiaKini news the other day, and decided to pop on some of the videos present from few days past, lo and behold...

I saw this video that was titled "arrest galore" or was it "galore of arrest". Goodness gracious me, i saw these police and riot squad arresting at first what seems to be protesters of the 1BlackMalaysia, but soon after the arrest of these protesters, the police decided that they should continue arresting innocent patrons in this mamak restaurant who were..Sipping TEH TARIK!!!

Now that is one unexplanable scene! How can la? TEH TARIK LEEEEEEEEEEEE...

As if that was bazzare, the video later show that these people went all out to also arrest people around the area, i heard some one shouting "tangkap, tangkap.." Geez...I think they should actually spend late nights catching those slumpy worthless killer MAT REMPITS rather than innocent TEH TARIK sippers.

How serious am i to God?

Have i done all that i can for Him? Heck, who am i that i could even do anything for Him that He can't do Himself?, Everything that i have, everything that could do; wasn't he the one who gave me and enable me to do? So, why do i think that i am capable of returning and thanking Him with my service and deeds...

If i could even begin to grasp His majesty and splendor, His might and power - He doesn't need my help to make the world go round. " What can we give, that He has not given? or what do we have that is not already His?"

But..yet, Regardless of my flaws and short-coming, He gave me the right to be His child, co-heir of Christ to the kingdom.. That is something that i could never come to fully understand, a God so holy and righteous, would entrust me flawed and unholy to be a steward of this Earth?

I have sinned, i have become independent from the Lord, i have slipped away, i have not been a good steward...Father i ask for your forgiveness. All this years i have come to learn about one important decision that i have to make everyday. That is to fully depend on YOU every single day.

Still there are days where i slowly slipped back into my own wavering confidence, my unstable self-hope, my withering strength..how FOOLISH..

Lord, vindicate me, search my heart- change my heart of stone for a heart of flesh, restore me God. Give me the strength and the faith to believe in You and Your promises.

All that has been entrusted to me, my studies, my life, my friends, the ministry that i am in..please Lord

Finally, I manage to sit my butt down..get something done on this perishing blog.

Ah!! A lot have taken place since i last blogged, well i'm afraid i can't be blogging every single thing (not that i can remember ALL of them anyways)

So, i was back in Sitiawan last weekend (Easter weekend), and we celebrated my brother's birthday, youngest kid in the house..There look down, that's HIM beside my sister

Geez, to think he's only 15 years old..

So, instead of making all those lasagne, pasta, meat, poultry, short-crust pastry, bla blas...
I decided to try out Pizza. Yes people, this would be my first time trying out pizza as my menu, I've never in my life attempted to make my pizza from scratch (Even the dough) i made myself (Proud)!!!

I do not have names for the pizza i created, but it's like no other..the filling of the pizzas a monstrous! Made Baked Mushrooms, stuffed with herbs and its own flesh

Lets see, my pizza has...
Eggs, onions, basil, tomato base sauce, sausages, chinese sausage, mushrooms, Loads and loads of cheese.

Ah lastly, these (Bottom) are my precious precious products, products from France.

These 3 babies cost me a whopping 30Euros, that would be about 140+ Ringgit..hahaha

Up North

The land where it is said to have the best water flowing pass lime-stones. A land where they say the chics are pretty because of these WATERS. Skeptical i still am though. *laughs*

Alright that was just some side stuff.

I was up north, in the district of Perak. More specifically, i was in the town of Ipoh (most of the time) and also Taiping. We (TRAC MYF committee) visited both Ipoh wesley and also CGMC. I really thank God for the opportunity that has been given to us to visit these 2 youth groups, and like what Chris said we were able to (only) begin to understand the different situation the 2 different youth groups are going through. Questions like "Why isn't there a genuine passion in them to serve God and one another?" or "how come, they are so detach from the TRAC MYF and BOYW activities?"

I really hope to rectify these "past" misunderstandings; to get to know these 2 youth groups better, to be along side them in their struggles and joys. I really want the TRAC MYF to be an impact to the younger ones. Most of all i want to really honour God in all these.

I thank God foremost for the blessing of this committee and the past (yes U! Lawrence)- you have done a tremendous work up north among the youth. And also to Dr. Herbert and Choy Quin for walking with us, and continue to do so. May we continue to serve the Lord unending and with JOYThis is the new committee, with the addition of Ching Fung Hao

France Part 2

I’m Back from the land they call “romance”..

Some review of my trip to France then more pictures. Well I was in France for a total of 11 days even thought I was gone from the 6^th to the 18^th of February, but the whole of 6^th and 18^th was spend in the air on the Emirates airlines. Gees, I felt cheated by the organizers; oh well..

Anyhoos, it was undeniably an experience of a life time! First, it was my first time on an air-plane, second I get to go somewhere over-seas (other than Singapore, Penang, Pangkor) haha. When we touched down in Paris it was about 12.30pm French time (ETA 7.30pm Local time), we went straight to the hotel (it was a budget hotel) but even so it was in a better condition than a 2 star hotel here in Malaysia, they have breakfast served in a budget hotel. However, the toilet/ bathroom wasn’t located in our rooms but outside (community wash-room) *laughs* Temperature at that point was at 2degrees Celsius. COLD

Alright here come the pictures, according to days (starting from day 2)

DAY 2

Arrived in Paris, went to hotel to check-in and then head off to the streets to do some side-seeing. The hotel’s name is Formule 1 under the Accord Company.

During the 2^nd night we went to “L’entrecote” for our dinner, it is pronounce as (Lon-Tron-cot) this was a restaurant that we did a research on base on our feasibility-studies subject prior to my trip to France.

The famous menu this restaurant is well known for is “steak and fries” with their famous butter sauce.

The appetizer – Walnut Salad with horseradish sauce

The main-course – Grill-steak sirloin with fries

The beef wasn’t all that awesome, but the sauce made up for the lack of flavours. The cost of this set meal is 20Euro.

DAY 3- DAY 7

We headed off to Toulouse early in the morning, took a bullet-train that took us about 5hours to get to Toulouse. The train was fast, but it was really cramp

There you go, the space we had in the train, look at the top those are our gigantic luggage.

Oh when we arrived at Toulouse’s Matabiau station we headed to our Bus that took us to another place call Foix which is 2 hours ride down south from Toulouse. BUT before we departed we saw what we call a cat-fight, in this case it was a tag-team French cat-fight. What a spectical!

This was the Chalet I stayed in, in Foix..each building holds 2 chalets with 2 bedrooms, 3 in 1 dining, kitchen and living room. It was cozy and nice, but when you start cooking, your shirts will smell of the mixture of what you cook.

Snow wars, man it was like we never seen snow before…come to think of it, most of us never seen. Haha, but it was a good experience there. Our hands was freezing cold after throwing so much snow at people and attempting to avoid any ammunition on ourselves. If this was a tactical war game, we need not worry about the limitation of ammunition. SERIOUS

Bonjour!!! c'est ici tres belle!! Its beautiful here in France, currently i'm residing in Foix, located at the south of France, couple of hours away from Spain! I so wanna go Spain but i can't..sob sob.

So far i have been in France for 5days, the time-zone in France is about 6hours earlier than Malaysia. It was freezing cold in Paris 2 degrees during the day and maybe (-) degrees during the night.

It was definitely my first time experiencing snow -Real snow- It was...WET... Remember folks, for those of you have never been to a 4 seasons country before and you so happen to go to one during the winters..get a pair of water-proof leather shoes!!

Anyhoos, i will post up more pictures when i get the chance...liqiour is our best companion in this weather now!

Up North - Back South

Just a realization before i continue, the realization is "lesser people reading my blog". I think.. Ha, though i believe there still are, its just that they don't leave no comments or drop a "hi" on me chat-box. Funny..

Anyways, i headed up North to Tapah on Monday till Wednesday. Purpose? Visiting the Jeremiah School students. It was good, took some pictures. I also had sometime to ponder on some of the issues and events that has taken place in my life. It was ironic though, the timing of me being there when the session on Sexuality & Holiness was also conducted on the second day of me being there.

Stuff like, man and woman's sexuality..BGR and so on, even when these things i've heard of many times (I'm sure all of us have heard of it alot), still to a certain extend it still speaks a clear lesson to me. I've been thinking a lot about my MWR (man/women relationship) ..but yea, its been a thought that i've been thinking of a long long long time.

Hitting wall after walls, ending up getting hurt over and over again..left with a void hope of things could have been and all..it has not been helpful, not even a bit for me since my last relationship. One can only begin to wonder, if it is still worth the hassle and trouble to continue trying...I still am

Ah...finally i got my very own digital Camera today, the last i remember me holding my own cam was when i was about 12 years old and that is like 10years..Lol

I got myself a FujiFilm F100FD finepix, its a small compact mobile camera, something that i would like now because i don't fancy large bulky DSLR like some people(s) i know haha..Well at least this would serve me well for now, who knows maybe i would be drawn into the world of photography someday, but for now, i am still very much in the world of FOOD.

BersatUnite, it was a prayer rally organized by the Wilayah District MYF with the Selangor Committee (collaboration). I am very proud of this 2 committees they have put in a lot of afford! Especially to Esther and Ereeka, well done. Lets pray that with this and MYPG/LYPG we will be able to mobilize the youth to pray in His word and His spirit! For the Nation of Malaysia, OUR NATION.

I had the chance to serve along side the worship team, (you know who you are)..All to God be the glory!

According to the guy, he says it jeopardizes the status of Bahasa Malaysia and he wants to sue the municipal? Lol....this is hilarious!! What should i cry for the state of this joke?

Least to say, a multilingual road-sign has no intention to jeopardize the status of BM in this country la..As a matter of fact, it would post a benefit to foreign tourist in Penang lo...LETS HOPE THE WORLD IS NOT LAUGHING!!

Semester is coming to an end. As usual, when it is near the end of a semester assignments are due and exams are near. Yet there is lil' or no urgency in me..AGAIN!!..oh not to mention, CAMP & CHRISTMAS are all on their way...phew...but the latter is what i am looking forward to!!!

*Ponders...* WAIT... that means the year 2008 is coming to an end?? Gosh, that so fast, time really flies flies flies...2009 is already knocking on the door, eager to rush in! And i begin to wonder..really really wonder..what will be my next step in life?

I mean i will be graduating next year (if i pass this year). What then?
I have to complete at least 4months of internship, honestly i'm not looking forward to that
I've spotted one company that might interest me " Sodexo"
But after that 4 months? My visions are still unclear to me..sigh.

Kuantan was a blast, though it was only for the short weekend. Wish i had more time to spend..oh well like Victoria Kovalan always says "good things always comes to an end"..but its all GOOD..Praise God..

Surprises you say?

Yes it was indeed a surprise. In fact it was the surprise of all surprises..Creme de la Creme!!!, that is to know that 2 of my friends whom i never would ever expect to be together in a relationship finally got together..what an eye-opener, until now i'm still in a lil disbelief.

Not in a bad way but in a good good good way, i know these 2 for sometime now, knew the girl longer. And they both have distintive personalities, I'm very happy for THEM!!!

Darn...it has been gazelion years since i touch my blog and update it..Hmm but it felt good to blog today.

I'm currently in Kuantan!! The land of the Rising Sun! Its a beautiful place with a lot of good food!! I am up here for the weekend to do visitation to Kuantan wesley's youth..Its all good!! I really thank God for the host that has taken us in, none other Abishua and Phoebe's family!! It is amazing how God has brought our paths together and how we have come a long way in serving him in the worship ministry, great people!

Went down to the beach yesterday, It was my first time in Kuantan, first time on Kuantan's beach!! History! hahaha, it was all good. Photo's will be out slightly later...I need to learn to bring a camera with me la.

Finally got to meet the Tan family..hahah Mission accomplished

On a lighter note, a few weeks back we had a surprise birthday dinner at home (sitiawan) for my eldest bro, Philip. Its funny how we kept it from him and yet getting him involve in the planning and invitation of his own close friends hahaha!!

But, on the day itself, just few hours before dinner surprise, my mom went and spoil the whole thing. It was funny tho how it happened, i was behind in the second kitchen preparing the food and my sis and bro's gf was infront preparing salads with my bro, and in came my mom and this was how it happened:

Mom: ger!(eve), have you gotten the cake for tonite?!
Me : (at the back of the house) ...OH SHIT!!! Terbongkar!!
Sis : Oi ma, kor is here le
Mom: Aiyo, Wangji (forgotten)

I was thinking of posting about my Ipoh trip about 3 weeks ago, but as i was reading a mail forwarded by Ruth wong from Aunt Kim Guat. I changed my mind.

As many of you who know Aunt Kim Guat, you would also know what she is going through now. Her eldest son "Yi Jien" has been missing in the montana reserves for well over 2 weeks, and no news of him yet. weather has been keeping the ranger and aerial search to be carry out. Many people are praying for the wellbeing of Yi Jien and also the family.

But...when i was reading this mail, something struck me..I saw the faith of 2 women, that faith that i am seeing is even bigger than a mountain!!

If you know Aunt. Kim Guat, you would know her story
You would know her heart, Her faith!
She reminds me of Job in the bible
perservering in this tough journey
not willing to give up, but continues to fight
Trusting in the Lord,
No matter how hopeless the situation seems.

As much as we are worrying about life
I can't help but be touch and impact
by the tremendous FAITH

We should continue to stand by her and her family, and continue to pray for a breakthrough..

Last Sunday 3rd Aug 2008 was a day to be remembered for all times! The Passion movement founded by Louie Giglio, along with Chris Tomlin and Charlie Hall showed up in Malaysia on their 7th stop of the Passion world tour conference!

In the midst of the ear stomping decibels, heart thumping, passion challenging high praise and worship, sermons and sharing. There was God's awesome presence and glory! Its beyond any words of explanation.

What i took back with me that night? It was definitely the passion to be in the youth ministry, that desire in me was really rekindled and re flame!! Wow..it was definitely PASSION REDISCOVERED!!

The multitude of people was just mind boggling..on a sunday nite about 5000 coll/uni age people came pouring in..don't believe me...see these pictures

Ah.....laziness...laziness!! Ok on the 2nd to the 4th May, the TRAC MYF committee (excluding Sam and Lawrence) headed down to Malacca then Seremban, along with the southern district committee ( Our sister committee). Carrying out an official visit to Malacca wesley, and then to seremban welsey/ TUMC yout groups..

I've to say, the besides visiting the youth groups and getting to know them, the trip was filled with food hunting! Could you believe that i spend almost RM150 for food on all 3 days...craziness!!!

It was great to do visitations to the different youth group, somewhat refreshing for me. To be able to see how these groups function and how knitted they are to one another and their passion.
I would love to see these young youth grow up, and be that beacon of light and hope to this nation, to see them coming out with a passion for God.

I have been entrusted by God with this responsibility of the TRAC MYF President, and along with my committee and the district committees, i vow to do the best i can to knit these youth groups together and see God explode with all might!!

Every Boy (maybe some girl), in their childhood (maybe even now) would go bonkers over the awesome piece (Marvel) Art called IRON MAN. This year, in the Month of May..Marvel is launching its first Iron Man movie in theaters! Something that i would not miss!

If i'm not mistaken the movies epics the evolution of the first Iron Man Suit to the gold-cum-red Iron suit that has make Iron Man an Hero Icon!

What can be louder, more electrifying, happening than a backstreet boys concert, or a gwen steffani's world tour concert, or simple plan concert, or any of those concerts? Well here's your answer.....the only thing that can be more than any of those combine is a Jesus concert!!! Yes!! and who better to bring this jam down than the PlanetShakers!! -

Held on the 12th of April in FGA church (Kuchai Lama), in collaboration with the launching of YouthAlpha program here in Malaysia. This even saw over 2000 youngers and adults alike swam into the 1500capacity main hall and also the overflow rooms. The place was jammed pack with people and traffic was...( you can imagine). The atmosphere was beyond electrifying and you could see the excitement and enthusiasm on every one present there..people from as far as Ipoh and Seremban would travel down just to be experience this awesome time of High Praise and worship, not to forget Jumping and going crazy!!

Now can you believe that, when the doors opened at 7pm, but just barely 15 mins after the door was opened the main hall was pack and by 7.30pm it was almost like a sardin can!! Me and my friends arrived at about 7.45 and lo and behold, there was no more space in the main hall and we were ushered into the overflow room. Within 15minutes the overflow room was almost at its brim, but sadly we had to bare with a projection screen view of the life Praise and Worship session, yet the crowd couldn't careless if it was life in stage or thru the lens of the video cam. They were jumping and praising throughout the whole event. The ground was literally SHAKING!!!!!

The Challenge was awesome. We were challenge to not only to just receive from God, but to use whatever God has given us to bless others. A call for the youth of this nation to win the hearts of the youth for God.."this generation for all generations"

SO who says..christian concerts can't be fun? Who says we are boring? Next thing would be the "Passion conference"

District Election

Symptoms of the Post DE syndrome:

Wishing that DE lasted more than just 2 days 1 night

We’re suffering from the post District Elections syndrome! *argh*

The District Elections (DE) for TRAC MYF took place from the 5th-6th April 2008. The national-level TRAC MYF took a couple of months to plan for this event & was praying that it’ll be a great one since it’s our first time conducting it :)

The elections was held at TRAC office itself & the 26 delegates plus the national-level committee members stayed over at PJ Trinity on the 5th night; the installation of the newly elected committees was conducted at PJ Trinity itself :)

This election was to elect a committee to over-see & build the youth ministry in each of the 3 districts in the Southern Zone of Malaysia i.e.: Selangor, Wilayah, & Southern (Johor, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan). We planned for a 2 days 1 night event as we wanted the delegates to also have a time for bonding & sharing to encourage & uphold each other in their prayers :)

Truly, all glory & honor goes to God alone!

The DE was a huge success & the youths who came are requesting for more of such events to be planned!! *faints* Some youths who didn’t stay overnight with us actually came back to PJ Trinity the next morning for the installation service with their entire bunch of youths from their churches!! *wow! Applause*

We’re seriously looking forward to more of such events & may probably look into planning for the Nothern Zone’s DE! *lol*

Just 2 saturday's ago me and my ex-cg peeps went to this small humble bistro cum cafe at section 17 for a reunion dinner, the place is call Food Laundry. I didn't manage to get the address but it is located around the flats area, behind 6 to 10 cafe.

Some reviews about the food, the food wasn't all that excellent, there wasn't a "wow" factor. But it was decent (some of it). Hmm..if Gordon Ramsey were to come and taste it...He'll probably say something like this "What the F*** is this, my god!! lousy cook"

Anyways..the food. Well those of you who knows me well, you would know that i craze over fresh button mushrooms, portabello mushrooms, almost any mushrooms!!! Edible ones of course. So the first thing i saw on the menu was this, button mushroom sauteed in butter, and butter sauce!! Awesome...

There is a catch tho, I believe whoever came up with this wasn't too smart

for 1, the amount of butter used just kills the mushrooms and its exquisite taste.

This was the tomyam soup, the portioning was good,

the amount of oil used was crazy

This was a pretty decent dish interms of taste but for me i would

rather go for the roadside pakcik's Nasi lemak

This was my order. I saw it on the menu, and i decided to give it a hit.

Lamb Shank cooked in honey sauce with salade and mash potato

Again, it was too oily, the texture of the oil covers the rest, limiting its taste

portion wise i'm content, but there was no honey taste, neither was it sweet.

Out of a scale of 10, i would only rate this place 5.5 no more, the price is pretty decent per-person it would less than 30 bucks.

Oh ya, speaking of price and nasi lemak, there is one kelantanese pak cik who operates this roadside stall here in USJ 11 Subang opposite pizza hut, it is a must try!! The portion, is awesome and the price, superb!

For a pack of nasi lemak, with 1 piece of chicken, sambal aubergines, sotong, and added rice only cost RM5, c'est marche!!!

"Things are pretty uncertain now" well at least that what I've been braining about these past few days. This blog is almost at the verge of death.."knock knock"

I guess i was just too busy with all my works, assignments, ministries that i didn't had the time to do blogging, plus when i do have the free time i would rather spend it on my own doing nothing. I've been thinking of some things lately and i begin to wonder, is it worth putting all that i have into something that seems so deemed? or Why am I being so lazy lately? Its a constant battle in my head!! I'm going berserk

Well well well....i have seriously turned into a procrastinator!! I think it has almost become a full time occupation. I procrastinate my reports, assignment, and even my blogging!! Have Mercy man...

Anyways here are some of the highlight of the week. Each picture represents the important events throughout this week.

Thursday- Had kitchen class from 4-9pm, i was given a list of ingredients and i am to use whatever ingredients that i have to create a dish. So it was Lamb rack that night, here is my creation. The name for the dish you ask? Well lets just say i'm lousy at giving it a name

Saturday- 26th Jan!! This will be the day i will remember for life!! My first time attending a men's conference in dumc or anywhere for that matter! It was good, learning on how to deal with issues and problems, trials and temptations men would go thru. Thanks Pastor Doc. Philip Lyn! It was truly fulfilling and convincing........*scroll down*

Right, after the conference which lasted a whole day, we (me, dex, josh, joel) headed of to elaine's place at rianna green in BU for a surprise gathering. Guess what it was Joel's farewell surprise. Tho there were only 4 of us, it was still fun and i really enjoy talking to this 3 guys.

Lastly....Sunday- Went for the last session of men's conference..but it was open to the public..
after that went for lunch with this really really close friend of mine...who eats chilli padi just like that (crazeeeee)
Oh ya..before i forget..wednesday was a public hol, so me and my crazee pal (Ruth Wong) decided (nite before) to go down to PD and visit the Js peeps..hahah it was fun, tiring but FUN!!!

With the theme "My hero" each person are required to dress up in costume in the likeness of their heroes, be it comic heroes, or tv series, or real life. It was truly a glamorous event, cool too!! Here are some appetizing pictures of your eyes!!

Sigh.....its been long since i updated anything here, apologize but i was enjoying my holidays that i didn't felt like typing anything. Anyways lots of event took place. I've some photos up as well.

Next stop was Johor Bharu, Ruth and I decided to travel down to JB for the weekend before i leave for sitiawan to meet up with an old friend of ours, Mabel Lim!!! It was a weekend well spend with them and also to catch up with other Jeremiah peeps.

23rd+24th December = Caroling

It was great to be back in s'wan again after almost 3 months of absence. Had the chance to join the Youth Caroling. Ah those old time memories brought back, time to catch up with Bau, Chee, and Josh...it was all good.

We went to the orphanage near my house, and these kids were so so HAPPY to see us
and to hear us sing for them, that they kept wishing us goodbye and merry christmas after the singing, so much so that when we entered the bus, they were still waving and shouting.

Reminded me, how fortunate i am to be where i am today, to have family, and a house to stay in.

On the second nite, the moon was at its peek, and it was full and near, the stars was blinking all around, truly a sign of wonder from God.

Went to Kl with Herbert and on the northsouth highway i say this GUY!!!

What the world will NEVER Take

Ahh...that sweet sense of camps. Clouds my memories! Shuush!! Just listen to the shouts of praise, and then cry of the heart...How great is our God, sing with me how great is our God.

Truly God is great, His presence was so strong and clear for the 5 days of the camp! Swamping in was about 120 campers and 20 odd helpers! Off we departed from our respective churches and down the way to Kuala Kubu Bharu, Kem Bina Semangat. Don't think I'll babble about the minuet details. Tho, i've somethings to share here...

Throughout the 5 days in camp, God was at worked. As a matter of a fact, God begun His work I believe even before the camp started, the first nite of plenary session was just mind blowing. We saw God's hand moving so mightily people just swamped up to the front of the hall as the altar call was made, and the presence of God just fell on many of them as they were prayed for. This went on for the next 5 days. I've seen people just fall one by one as they were prayed for but i've never seen 4 fall at once in the presence of His majesty!! What a site, Praise God.

(Backtrack) When i was at the age of 14, i had a calling from God to go full-time ministry for Him. With that calling , i carried it with me through my teen-years as i grow older, that desire seems so sure for me that every other career paths seems unappealing to me. I was so sure that i was going to go to a bible college after my SPM. But just when I thought that everything was planned out well, God said "wait...you're not ready". SO here i was at the verdict of my life, ready to choose the career that I've always wanted, and God said i have to wait. I begun to seek God, and ask for His guidance and trusted in Him. It was during National service that i found out what God wanted me to do first, culinary arts. Tho i have always ponder how in the world would culinary arts and ministry work can co-exists, i decided to trust in God for this.

A night before YLDP. I received a call from Herbie, asking me if i would agree on being a nominee for the presidential post of the national trac myf. I was taken aback! It came as a surprise which i had not prepared myself for!! From that night i was asking God for sights and sights to confirm if this was what He really wants me to do. All the signs He gave before the AGM on saturday morning showed me to the right direction which is to take up the challenge, and so i went ahead and gave herbie my permission to be a nominee. Friday night approached and i was still having doubts about all this presidential stuff, so i told God one last time. "if you want me to REALLY take this up, show me something, speak to me!" Well, i learn something beautiful, that God is superbly patient. He was more than willing to give me His answer. That friday nite, an altar call was made for those who have the calling to go full-time, and i knew that moment, as my spirit acknowledge God's.

I am Honoured to elected as the president, and am looking forward to an exciting year ahead. Tho i am afraid for i have never held such a big post. But i wanna believe in God to show me the way, to keep me humble. I thank Him for a team that i believe is strong and is God fearing! Cheap..and what not

You're not gonna believe how cheap some people can really be! Seriously, let me paint a clearer picture of what I'm talking about. Last tuesday night, right after my work shift me and my colleagues decided to head to the cyber cafe to play Counterstrike.

I went wearing a T-shirt and a sports shorts. I had my phones, keys and wallet inside those pockets. The pocket is big, so as we were playing i didn't realise that my Nokia 1600 slipped off my pocket onto the carpeted floor. When I stood to look for my phone, i search high and low for it. Found nothing, but my wallet, keys and my nokia 2100. *yea yea, i use old old phones* That the whole ironic and cheap thing, here i am using a nokia1600 model, and its not even worth RM50 bucks in the market now for used phones.

At first i was rather pissed at what had happen, common man a cheap phone. But what i was more frustrated at was the fact that i lost a lot of my contacts. Well, now as i think back, who ever that son of someone is, was really cheap-skit and dumb!!!!

Hmm, my internship is coming to an end in a week's time. I'm happy about it and can't wait to be free.

Woke up this morning, I remembered what a friend said last night during choir practice.."When i wake up in the morning the first thing i do is to spend time with God"

With that, i sat on my bed..just thinking of my Lord. 2 songs came to my mind. Rain Down by PlanetShakers and also Amazed by Lincoln Brewster. As i washed up, i returned to my room for some solitude, singing those 2 songs. As i got to the song "Amazed" the lyrics really captured my heart, causing tears to mount in my eyes, IT TOUCHES ME...It talks about how unconditional God's love is for me, how vase his mercy, how gentle is grace is. That to Him, creating me was no mistake, and that He delights in me. Thinking of me, He has miracles in store for me from the very beginning.

Amusing...to come to think of it, now i understand why no one post comments on my blog, they can't because recently most of my posts are in poetic form..LOL...well i do explain to those certain people that asked me what those poem means..and u know how to get me to tell you...

If you're one who thinks "Why in the world is James writing all these poems"...or "Since when did James started writing poem?"...well once upon a time i use to write poems, but i kept them to myself, no one knew it. Its funny how it all started...Remembered when i was with a certain someone, and she seems the world to me, she tipped off the poetic side of me..started with the first poem i wrote for her many years ago. Then when things didn't went well, and ended..thus poem writing stopped as well.

So now after 3 years, i begun writing poems again..started with a poem written for a friend's birthday. From there on i wrote a few poems..till this very day..most of my poems are written to express my feelings and emotions, things that i can't just pour out directly on my blog..I learned that by writing poems i was able to lash out my emotions, this is rather helpful especially when i don't intend to bother friends with my problems.

Alrite...enough said..i intend to continue writing...there is a deeper reason why i've been writing these poems.

I was brutally awaken from my evening nap this afternoon by a phone call from my friend Joshua. With a sad and low tone telling me....that our friend from high school passed away just 10mins ago..

A to think that exams are over and i can at least get some decent holiday..Deng!! My mind is filled with a thousand thoughts!!! This would be my last week of break, there after my industrial training would commence. I've to say, i'm getting sick of trainings....

So Las Carretas!! Here i come!!

Its really Ironic, 2 years ago i was such a culinary enthusiast. I was so determined to fight my way thru to get to the top in college (No in terms of academics), so eager to involve myself in extra classes, of staying back after classes just to pound my lecturer with questions of curiosity.
I would go all the way out just to look for my chef lecturers to ask questions about why the short-crust is like this, and what other herbs i can use to enhance a dish!! Not to mention taking on a part-time job in college as a chef's assistant, just so i can obtain a couple more tricks up my sleeves.

Yet now, that passionate interest begins to slip off my mind like melting butter, don't get me wrong, my interest and passion for cooking still remains strong, but that interest of being a prof. chef where the world would look upon as celebrity chef is...fading! I'm confused..i'm abit lost here now..

Because, now i feel the strong deep desire to pursuit my first desire, my first decision. To go full time for God. But Lord i need a sign, a confirmation, a direction...anything!!!

So I'm back in sitiawan, I'm loving it!! Came back right after my convocation, actually i regretted signing up for the convo, but to be able to meet up with classmates that I've not seen in months was rather worth while...Had a first hand experienced in receiving a scroll in front of thousands.

Something to be Thankful

I know i know...this blog looks dead, but i didn't realize there were people reading it too hahaha..

Well, i have things to be grateful of, and i have decided to blog about.

See, long long time ago (2 weeks ago) i was at the state of stress, thanks to the overloading of assignments and the dawning of exams! -oh ya and my procrastination!- Rushing to complete 4 assignments that was due in a week's time. call me crazy...Having at the same time to try to complete my revision. What a nightmare *kids don't try this when ur in college.uni ok*

So as the last week approaches, i was able to submit 2 assignments, and the other 2 was due on the exam week itself *wreck!!* I has for the first time at the point of melt-down.. it came to a point where i wanted to run as far away as i can, and cry to till i die!!

But i thank God, He pulled me thru..i have to admit, i was actually giving up on hope in Him and myself, and i begin to trust God less and less in that period of them, but yet with that little hope and trust *what was left*, God still sees me thru, how gracious is he! What more, if my hope and trust in Him were to be like a mountain? Wahhhhhhh imagine the works, the miracle He will do!!

Apologize for the long hault! I've been really busy and all, and i couldn't find a theme that i felt was worth jotting down.

I ask that you take a minute or 2 to read this

2 more days and Malaysia will be celebrating its 50th year of independance. I'm glad, i'm happy to be a Malaysian. I thank God for this, and its an added bonus to be a Christian here! But, looking back at this 50 years of development and struggle to rise up as one of the most respected country, one tends to reflect that the loop side of what the country is going through.

Many things in the past happened that does no pride to the country (Things of which i cannot mention here) But tiday, there are still incidents that has taken place that saddens my heart and hurts the image of the country, look into the news paper and you will know what i mean, : murders, rapes, robbery, wrong teachings, corruptions, unsound politics..these are just the tip of the ice-berk.

In today's paper, or rather yesterday's..there was a report in rumours of racial riots..its alarming, tho the PM has stated that it is not true, honestly looking at the title and reading the article really sends a cold shiver up my spine. Would we want another incident like tahat of May 13? Only a fool would do that!

For the past 17 days, the church has been coming togather every morning, to pray for a renewal of the nation, praying that corruption would stop. I know, some may say :" corruption is an unevitable thing it can't be avoided" well i think that is just bullshit, if people would just stop being greedy, then this Nation would have been a awesome leading nation.

Yet having said that, i strongly believe that God is still in control, and He is beginning to work something for this nation. He will only bring it to progression if His people, who are called by His name, would humble themself and seek His face.

My cry to God, is this:

Wanted to post this up since yesterday...a friend pointed me to a report in the Star news paper about this gay pastor...Now now, before u go on reading, don't assume that i hate gays or lesbians of any of that.

But rather what i wanna point out is my thoughts..after reading 2 blog-post from 2 friends (click)(click). I bet most of you have read the other report about this criminal act by another 'pastor'...well nothing much to say about that, just that may the Lord have mercy upon him...

ok lets go back...so, after i read the report i was rather upset at the account that was given, it was saddening to see that people think that all these are created by God, but the very fact is this...In th beginning God created Adam and Eve....see its -ADAM- and -EVE-..not Adam and John, or Eve and Jesse...God knew what he was doing. In the bible, during the days of Noah..God send a huge flood to 'clean' the world solely because they do not wanna obey God, and they turn to what we today call homosexuality...

Now before u 'condemn' me further, i'm not saying that i hate the person, but i hate the lifestyle and the acts they do...God loves us, but he hates our sins...having said that, yes Jesus came to heal the sick and bring sight to the blind, a new hope to the poor, and redemption for us all. Jesus did not condemn them(sinners) so neither should we...

Referring to daryl's blog...In the book of 2Timothy, Paul foretold that these days would come where preachers will preach what the people wanna hear, and not what God wants...the sound doctrine then becomes corrupted doctrines. Yet, there is still hope for them..for Jesus died for all...all of us..regardless of our social and religious status...I guess, the only best way for us as a church now is to pray for them, pray and not curse..love and not condemn..care and not judge.

For God desires not that one soul perishes, but all would come to know Him...there is always room in His kingdom. But the choice is theirs to choose...

5a.m...a call to Prayer

This is my first time waking myself up at 4.30am in the morning to go for prayer meeting in church. It was both hard and exciting at the same time. The last time i woke up this early was when i was in national service camp back in 2005.

Having said that, this marks the beginning of the 21days fast and prayer for DUMC church, it is a call made by the senior pastor Daniel. I was move by this call and challenged myself to discipline myself to take this fasting and praying seriously. It is by brute of any type of force, but this is what i am willing doing, on my own accord. I am seriously expecting God to work a miracle in my life, that i my be different from the world, and the things of the world. In the parallel time of this 21 days fast and pray, the NECF is also having their 40days fast and pray, both of this calls has one sole purpose, that is to pray for a great awakening for the church in Malaysia, and also for this Nation.

This morning marks the first day of fasting and praying, and i attended the first morning prayer at 5.30, it was hard..but like Paul in the bible who said -paraphrasing- "I will beat my body..." what he meant was to discipline his body to strive towards the upper calling. when i walked into church this morning, i could seriously sense the presence of God, so strong and heavy, and as Pastor make the rally, and prayed..tears begin to fill my eyes, it was like i couldn't stop it...and as the battle horns and music started, the presence of God and the weight of his Glory begin to fill the sanctuary...

I am totally excited, undoubtfully i have to say, i do not know how am i gonna go thru this, waking up early in the morning, and spending the whole day in college, with cg, with choir..but one thing i know, that the grace of God is sufficient for me, and he know's my limitations, thus He will give me the strength that i deeply need to pull things thru. Amen

So i decided to cook dinner for myself and my wacky sister, since my uncle is away for business trip. Due to my hectic schedules, i can only resort to simple dishes such as Pasta and salads, so that was exactly what i did.

After class today at about 4pm, me, sis and alvin(tagging along) went to the nearest giant hyper-mart to get some of the ingredients needed, trying a the same time to limit and lower the cost of it. So here is what i scrum out..it wasn't extravagant or look *fine dining* but still it tastes well, and most importantly it fills me tummy up!! BURPP!!

What a weekend it has been, God was truly present and touching the hearts of the youth. I was back in sitiawan for the weekend and so happen, altered frequency was down to run a youth nite rally...It was a blast!!Wa...first time, i jumped till my muscles are still aching now...still...still

Today..

Today was darn amusing and tiring..ok, so i had kitchen class just now till at nite, and i decided that my sis take the car to class this morning, so i don't have to wake up that early and fetch her to class. And i decided to take the bus..

Yes the bus, after half a year not setting foot on those long, air polluting, stuffy (cold sometimes) Buses. So as i was walking towards the bus stops, just another 20 meters away, i saw the 1st bus(bus mini) drove pass, *sigh* missed it...then i decided to wait for Metro bus -which takes ne directly to coll- ended up, 3 rapidKL buses passed, and i didn't dare take coz i wasn;t familiar with it.

Then....another bus mini passed, and i told myself not to take it...and i waited still for Metro bus, it didn't turn up, so i decided to walk to my friend's place and meet him, to go coll together. As i was happily walking with my IPOD on, it started to RAIN!!! Sheesh..

Reach there, and waited for my friend..as i was waiting, jeng jeng jeng!! Metro Bus, but friend not here yet..sheesh...

To cut it short, i wanted to take bus, so i could have sometime to myself and dun have to drive, and also that i thought i didn't have to pay for parking which is RM4, but ended up...i had to take taxi with my fren which cost RM5 each...deng..another ringgit extra..sheesh!!!

What's all the fuzz?? *disappointing*, well if you malaysians still haven't got the news. Let moi break it to ya a'ite! Malaysia's football team lost to China 5-1...blardy!! I wonder, how are they gonna redeem themselves this time. How are we gonna redeem ourselves this time, eh!?

If Malaysia were to be 51years this year, what an irony would it be yea. Don't get me wrong ya peeps, i ain't here to discriminate my own national team. But, 5 to 1 is a very large gap. This in (at least) one way shows the level of competency our team has, and the skills needed. -sigh- Ah another note, the malaysian commentator after the game was of no help either, to the point of plain rubbish and pointless! Why i say that? This was what was said by one of them:

I was introduced to this tv reality show by Mark Leo. When i heard of it..i iwas like "what a name for it". The title of this show speaks for itself, it is exact as it said it is..HELL!!! Hands down, even watching this series reaps fear onto my soul man, the pressure in Gordon Ramsay's hell kitchen is like 10times if not 100 times the pressure that i've experience in Las Carretas man.

I think Chef Ramsay holds like what 10 michelin stars If you can get ur hands of this series show, watch it. I'm now like addicted to it hahaha.. But i think to have a chance to work under and learn from him (besides his foul words) that would awesome..

I was digging my head of what to post today. I know i had something to mumble about, but just couldn't sum it up as to what was it that i wanted to mumble about until i hit chee eng's blog.

See, i was back in sitiawan for about 4 day. Hmm, it wasn't enough since i haven't been back for over 2 months. But whatever time spend there was worth every second of it, i got to meet up with some of my friends, old friends that matters close to my heart. Spending time in my place til late a night, talking, eating, drinking wine, playing PS2..just hanging around. It was memories brought back. Those good old days, where "worries" was at the bottom of our list.

I began to wonder, slowly but surely as one after another leaves to pursuit our own ambitions and dreams, when would be the next time we get to meet again, those memories of old..those sarcastic times, misunderstanding, doubts, laugher, tears..i am just so fond about it now. I wish i could experience those days again. Of times hanging out in church, doing nothing. Basketball, bible studies, Youth EE, Bible-knowledge classes, nite rallies, youth meetings.

Sitiawan Has changed so much, from a quiet and peaceful town with only double lanes roads to crowded 4 lanes road..I miss those times when i could actually cycle to school, church, the beach without the fear of getting knocked down by a car..as much as i had the development of the town. A friends said this "If this town doesn't change and expand, that means it is stagnant"...which does sound fair. Sitiawan before (2004)

I went to my former school to check it out, and my has it changed too..many upgrading works has been implemented to reinforce the school's old structures..it brings back a lot of bitter-sweet memories, of strong friendship, achievements, enemies and lovers..(laughs)

Friends always jokingly make fun of sitiawan when i tell them where i come from, but this is my beloved hometown, and it will forever be..we sitiawanese takes great pride of our home, it is our identity. Say what you want, but as for me, once a sitiawan boy forever a sitiawan boy.

One Chapter of my life has just ended. I graduated from my diploma just last saturday, it was great. The feeling of completing something feels blissfully good...hahaha. But all glory and thanks be to God, for with out Him i wouldn't have accomplished what i accomplished. Getting the highest mention with congrats from the jury is not something that would come by often, well at least not in my life. So now, onto a new chapter of my life. Where i just register for my advanced diploma...*ouch* the fees are blardy expensive...blardy i tell ya...

Wooooooohooooo!!!! Today was my last paper.. which is...*drums rolls* Kitchen practical. The menu that was given was, Quiche Lorraine and Chicken Fricassee.

It was definitely a rush against time for me to complete the task given...I was rather happy today, as i was totally claim and at peace when i did my exam. Praise God huh?!..But the process of preparing the main course was a bit here and there...It turned out not too bad.

Oh this part is interesting...guess what time was my reporting time? *drums roll the second time*...7AM...yea u got that right, 7am.. I was there 45mins earlier..that was how enthusiastic i was..it ended about 1pm.

Straight after that, i went movie watching with some of my friends. It was good to let all the stress off and the burden off my shoulders...results name list will be out tomorrow...and the announcement of results will be on saturday. I'm hoping for the best..trust God, fingers cross.

Hmm, today was rather interesting. Why? Because for the first time i cooked for some of my friends from college outside of college. My initial plan was to go to my friend's place, and teach her how to debone a chicken..*Just so she would be prepared for finals on Thursday*

But what i was awed at was the fact that, during these last few weeks, i got to know these friends that i don't normally hang with a bit better. Seems like there is no time left, but i guess i should salvage whatever time i have left with them.

I realize one thing in life, as much as i want things to turn out my way at times. Yet there are times they just doesn't go my way..Agreed? But, yet God is so good and mysterious at the same time. What seems to be something negative at that point, God turn it to something good.

I had a long chat-cum-sms with a friend, it was very fruitful. The end result? We got to know each other better, well at least i got to know her better.

Hmm, Tension mounts....anxiety builds...you guess it right!! I'll be getting my trials result this evening!! (Or maybe you didn't guessed it right) Fingers cross, hope in the Lord.
